Ever since Trump came back to power, we’ve been talking about how noncompliance, non-cooperation, and non violent direct action can help destabilize this fossil fueled fascist regime. And this year, that’s meant we’ve spent a lot of time talking about how to kick ICE out of our communities. We’ve supported local and national days of action, taken on the regime’s corporate enablers, and more. But now the brave little state of Vermont is planing a very big protest to kick ICE out of the Green Mountain state.

Will you join us in action On May 8th in St Albans Vermont? You can join our peaceful protest at noon, or get trained to participate in a Non-Violent Direct Action right after. Even if you can’t make it on the day, you can help spread the word, donate to support our work, or encourage your group to cosponsor.

Minnesota has demonstrated the positive effect of disciplined and calm nonviolence in deterring the worst abuses of the federal immigration machinery. I have no doubt Vermonters can be as brave and as collected.”
Bill McKibben
Vermonters are invited to join our statewide campaign to demand that ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and CBP (Customs and Border Protection) immediately cease their illegal conduct. We demand that ICE/CBP adhere to human rights, moral rights, and constitutional law immediately. We plan to present these demands to ICE/CBP by letter and in-person – requesting a meeting with ICE/CBP to meet our urgent demands.
The goals of this action are to:
- Put pressure on ICE to change their practices of arresting and detaining immigrants.
- Provide opportunities for a large number of Vermonters to participate in the campaign.
- Raise public awareness about ICE’s illegal practices in Vermont and nationwide
