No Fascists, No Kings – Join us June 14

With more than 90% of events concluded, the No Kings protests remained overwhelmingly peaceful across the country. We estimate over 5 million people participated—nearly 2 million more than on April 5. Some top moments and favorite social media posts from the day are below. But in addition to the assassinations and shootings early today in MN (referenced in the press release above) there was a late breaking shooting that had injured a few people, at least two critically, in Salt Lake City, UT. We will share more news and updates as we have it, check your people and local contacts.

June 13 – Trump’s authoritarian crackdown continues to escalate, and in the words of one Angeleno – it all “taste[s] like fascism.” In just the last week, the regime has repeatedly threatened to jail California Governor Gavin Newsom; Indicted New Jersey Rep. LaMonica McIver, threatening to jail her for up to 17 years; had armed guards physically assault US Senator Alex Padilla of California for asking a question at a press conference while Homeland Security Secretary Noem was declaring they would remain in the state to “liberate” the people from Democratic elected officials; Sent immigration officers flying over the fields of California’s agricultural heartland to terrorize farmworkers in the fields. Not to mention the arrest and deportation by Israel of climate activist Greta Thunberg for attempting to bring food and baby formula to Gaza. And the violent, deteriorating situation with Israel bombing Iran.

It’s overwhelming and disorienting. But the facts have not changed, and and our plans for June 14 have never been more important. Trump is planning a military parade in DC to celebrate himself on Saturday, and he’s calling out the military to suppress protests in cities from coast to coast. This is the moment to show that America doesn’t do kings, and we will not be ruled by tyrants – RSVP to join us. June 9 – By now you’ve seen that the Trump regime activated 2000 National Guard troops to crush a peaceful protests against the ongoing illegal and immoral kidnappings, deportations, and other crimes committed by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement or ICE”.

For weeks we’ve been telling and warning you about ICE agents detaining people illegally and disappearing community members. Now they’ve gone wild – marauding through the streets and attacking protestors that even the LAPD (not the most reliable narrators of protest and civil liberties) admitted were peaceful. Masked agents even injured and arrested the head of California’s largest labor union, SEIU President David Huerta while he tried to stop and film an illegal ICE arrest. Huerta is still under arrest, and Trump has suggested arresting any other elected officials – including CA Governor Gavin Newsom – that oppose him.

Now Trump has done what we feared: Ignored the Governor, Mayor, and local law enforcement that might be accountable to the public so he can activate the military to violently put down popular protest against his policies. But we will not cower. On June 14, we are going to rise up all across the country in defiance of this administration’s authoritarian agenda. May 31 – Donald Trump thinks his rule is absolute, but in America, we don’t do kings.

We’ve already told you that June 14 is Flag Day, the anniversary of the US Army, and Trump’s birthday. So Trump has commanded a military parade in his honor. But we’ve also been telling you about the growing wave of nonviolent resistance, non-cooperation, and resistance to the regime.

June 14 is our chance to make sure the biggest story isn’t flag day, Trump, or the Army. It will be the 1300+ No Kings actions happening everywhere else. Join us June 14 to say “No Kings!”

We’ve been telling you for months about the fossil fueled fascist takeover of our government. Billionaires and Oiligarchs have captured our government at the highest level and think that they are the kings and queens of America.

The threats are real, clear, and happening now. Benefits for seniors and the disabled are already being cut. ICE and other fossil fueled fascist agents are already arresting, deporting, and disappearing people. AI and Data centers demanding an endless supply of electricity on demand, and increasingly partnering with the same bad companies (like Chevron) to get it from fracked gas.

But resistance is also rising. From mass non-cooperation to boycotts and protests, Americans are bravely pushing back against the regime. Our actions are already having an impact. And mass actions on April 5, Earth Day and May Day have already shown that mass resistance is powerful and growing.

Trump and the oil oligarchs think everything belongs to them. They are rapidly stripping America for parts and selling us out—and now Congress is trying to do the same with their fossil fueled fascist budget bill that slashing vital social services so they can give more tax cuts to billionaires and handouts to polluters.

The name “NO KINGS” isn’t just a slogan—it’s an organic battle cry that has already taken root in the movement. We’ve been using imagery with Trump wearing a crown that drips blood and oil for months now to demonstrate Trump’s fossil fueled fascism. And the message has bubbled up naturally in protests and marches since his inauguration, a reflection of the grassroots energy that is rejecting authoritarian rule and unchecked billionaire power. 

On June 14 we’ll unite the uniquely American call for No Kings with the growing anti-fascist fossil fuel resistance movement. Join us in the streets in two weeks!
