They’re already rigging the election. No Kings Vote early is how we fight back.

Trump and his fossil fueled fascist regime are already working to undermine our elections, weaken voting rights, and make it harder for people to vote. These attempts to rig the election and subvert the results so the regime can stay in power are happening NOW, not sometime down the road.

To survive and restore a democratic government capable of taking on the climate crisis (which is what polls show the overwhelming majority of voters want) we need every eligible voter to participate without intimidation, interference, or barriers. And that’s why we’re joining the next No Kings: Vote Early day of action. Because we can’t wait for Election Day.

All year long (and long before) we’ve been talking about Trump’s attempts to subvert and undermine democracy: FBI raids on the homes and offices voting rights groups; The indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center; Not to mention wide ranging crack downs on protest and legal observers. All of it intended to stifle dissent, erode our right to vote and hold leaders accountable, and keep a fossil fueled fascist regime in power.

Voting early gives us the power to make our voices heard on our own terms, before Election Day and before anyone else can decide what happens next. And connecting communities to the training and resources needed to defend the democratic process before the election means we’re prepared for what may come on election day and beyond.

No matter what the laws look like where you live, early preparation is universal. Most Americans can cast a ballot at an early voting site, request an absentee ballot, or fill out a mail-in ballot early. But even if those don’t apply to you, you can double check your registration, encourage others to register and vote, or build an Election Day carpool with neighbors.

This fight isn’t won from the top down. As we say in the climate movement, to change everything, we need everyone. No Kings is perfect for this because we are a massive movement of millions of Americans built by everyday people on the ground: local organizers, volunteers, community leaders, and neighbors bringing neighbors together around what’s at stake in their own communities.

And that’s why this No Kings is all about investing in the people and organizations closest to their communities and building the kind of lasting organizing capacity that outlasts October 17 and Election Day. Join us once again in October to say No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings. VOTE.

P.S. Please share this message with your people. The more of us who have a plan, the harder we are to ignore.

*No Kings events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters. A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
