April 21 report back – What an amazing action and an amazing launch of our All Out for Earth Day actions! In New York City we had expected and recruited for 2500-5000 people to join us for this action to fight fossil fueled fascism – but some 20,000-60,000 people turned up on Saturday, April 19, making this another massive and successful action that exceeded all estimates for turnout – just like the April 5 Hands off Demonstrations two weeks ago.
Watch and share the short video below to spread the word, and plan or join an All Out for Earth Day mobilization this week. You don’t need to plan a new event, just add your existing Earth week events to our mobilize page; Check out our host toolkit for support; and/or sign your local group up to cosponsor. And stay tuned for more Earth Day to May Day mobilizations coming soon!
April 14 update: Our march for climate, migration, and to fight fossil fueled fascism in New York is shaping up to be big! Nearly 1000 people have RSPV’d already, and more partner groups, from 50-50-1 to local immigration advocates have signed on!
No matter where you live, we need your help to send a powerful message this weekend. Here’s how you can help:
- If you haven’t already, RSVP here to join the march to protect migrants and the planet to demand: ICE out of New York; New York out of fossil fuels!

- Already RSVP’d, signed, and/or shared? We still need your help!
- We need more marshals! If you can volunteer an extra hour or two on top of attending the march, please sign up to help us marshal – directing traffic, marchers, and generally putting the “We”:” in “We keep us safe.” No experience required, but if you’re not sure, sign up or rsvp to attend one of our marshal meet ups and safety briefings, online this week Tuesday at 12pm Eastern or Thursday at 7pm.
- Want to volunteer in other ways? We need lots of folks to help make and hold art, bring signs, take photos and videos, and more. If you’re willing to step up and help, but not sure how, join the April 19 signal group (top secret plans sold separately).
- Finally, if you can’t get to NYC this weekend, there are lots of other demonstrations and rallies happening. Check your local listings from 50-50-1, or join the hosts of the April 5 Hands off Day of action for a call this Wednesday April 16 on next steps. And stay tuned for more updates coming soon on Earth Day to May Day and other mobilizations!
See you on the streets this weekend!
April 8 – This Earth Day, we’re taking to the streets to send a clear message: Leaders at every level must stand up to Trump, defend immigrants, and fight for climate justice.
We know the recent ICE kidnapping of Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil was a blatant attack and intimidation on our rights to protest. We also know that fossil fuels cause climate change and fascism – with fossil fuel companies and their enablers making up the biggest chunk of Trump’s financial backers, and receiving specific kickbacks and benefits in exchange.
For a few weeks we’ve been talking about how an unholy alliance between big tech and fossil fueled fascist billionaires — we call them Oiligarchs — have captured our government at the highest level.
Fossil fuel billionaires donated millions to Trump’s campaign, and have gotten lucrative kickbacks and unprecedented environmental rollbacks in return. Just one shocking example: A new report just out from our friends at Oil Change International and reporters at the Guardian newspaper found that now Energy Transfer — the fossil fueled fascists behind the Dakota Access pipeline — is powering 75% more data centers and AI plants since Trump took office.
The impacts of fossil fueled fascism are all around us: Fossil fuels cause climate collapse, forcing millions from their homes. Fascist governments slash government services, and wreck the economy for working people to create resentment and scarcity. And then those same fascists try to turn us against migrants instead of holding polluters accountable.
This summer, we’re re-igniting the summer of heat campaign and taking our fight against fossil fuels, their financiers, and the fascists they fund even bigger. Just like last year, we’re kicking off a multi-week, multi-coast series of actions with a spring spark. But unlike last year, this year’s campaign is launching the campaign in the shadow of full fledged fascism and the rise of America’s police state.
But we’ve also seen the start of nation- and economy-wide resistance and non compliance. From federal workers speaking out, to the massive multi-million person April 5 Demonstrations last weekend. We are unbowed, and cannot be divided.
And on April 19, we will continue to build that spark of resistance into a flame of rebellion – from Earth Day, to May Day, and beyond. Join us on April 19 for a march to take back New York City from fossil fueled fascists at the march for migration and climate action.
