One week ago, on July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston, Texas. Then on Monday, July 13, ICE shot and killed 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in his vehicle in Biddeford, Maine. His wife and toddler were in the car and witnessed his murder.
In the days since, we’ve learned more about Lorenzo and Johan – that they were both fathers, both workers, that they were not a threat to ICE agents or anyone in the community at the time of their murder. And we’ve learned more of the same information we already knew about Trump’s fossil fueled fascist ICE agents: that they lie, that they are afraid, that they act without compassion, and that they can be made to stop if we raise our voices together.
National partners are organizing a Justice4Lorenzo&Johan Day of Action and Accountability Movement Call on July 15th at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT. Can you join us? We’ll hear directly from Lorenzo’s loved ones and local Maine groups, get updates about the cases, and learn how you can take action over the coming weeks to demand Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for All. & ICE Out. Use these links to spread the word

On the call we will provide tips and tactics to support you in taking actions that include vigils to be held across the country on or around July 25 in solidarity with community vigils taking place right now in Houston, across Texas, and in Maine.
The violence that took the lives of two fathers, American workers, and neighbors cannot be hidden behind secrecy, lies, or impunity. Come to this call to learn more about how you can join the movement to honor the lives of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Johan Sebastian Guerrero and demand justice.
