DOGE was a disaster. Tell Congress to hold them accountable.

June update —When we joined the DOGE accountability campaign in April, we told you we’d update you with our plans to not only deliver your signatures and messages to Congress, but turn up the pressure with action. At the end of May we held a campaign call with partners from major unions, elected members of Congress, and more to lay out the plan. And now that it’s June and Congress is preparing to go on another recess – it’s time to deliver!

50,000+ people, 100+ organizations, and some of the country’s largest labor unions have endorsed the campaign and signed our petition. Next week, June 12 – 18 we’re going to make sure Members of Congress know it by delivering petitions to their district offices all across the country.

Need a refresher on the campaign, the damage DOGE did, or just want to spread the word- share the info below!

April 16 — Trump and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was a disaster. All through 2025 we fought and stood with workers who came forward with stories that were both horrifying and stupid.

DOGE promised to save U.S. taxpayers trillions. Instead, it cost us all money, destroyed vital agencies, left tens of thousands of dedicated public servants jobless, gutted regulation, exposed the personal data of nearly every American, and caused needless death and suffering.

Yet, more than a year after Musk and his DOGE bros wreaked havoc on our federal government, they’ve yet to be held accountable. Tell your Members of Congress to hold Musk and DOGE leaders accountable.

Democracies are supposed to operate with transparency and within the rule of law. When rogue agencies and fossil fueled fascist billionaires like Musk break the rules, it’s imperative that leaders in Congress take bold action. Over the next 6 months, we’re launching a campaign to demand Members of Congress lead hearings and investigations into potential criminal behavior on the part of DOGE officials or staff, in the new Congress.

Recent reports have uncovered allegations that a former DOGE staffer stole sensitive government data, including Social Security numbers of more than 500 million living and dead Americans – with the intention of selling it to a private corporation. After Musk publicly boasted that he “spent the weekend feeding USAID into the wood chipper,” a new book out by a whistleblower predicts 14 million people may die as a result of DOGE dismantling the agency.

In the coming weeks, we’ll host a mass call about how you can get involved, and once we hit our goal for petition signers we’ll be organizing a petition delivery week of action at Members of Congress’ offices.

Musk and DOGE must answer for their disastrous actions. Congress can start by investigating DOGE’s mishandling of our Social Security data, Musk’s enormous conflicts of interest while he headed DOGE, and the potential misuse of positions within government by DOGE officials who also hold positions at major corporations, investment firms, and other for-profit entities. The American public deserves a full accounting of DOGE’s actions. Tell Congress to take action.
