Big Oil caused the crisis — it’s time to make polluters pay for it.

It’s time to make polluters pay for the damage they’ve caused our climate and communities. For years we’ve talked about how big oil billionaires and their fossil fueled fascist cronies like Trump created the climate crisis. Now, in 2026, they’ve taken it to new Extremes – invading Venezuela for oil and waging war on our cities in order to keep billionaires and fossil fueled fascist in power.

That’s why from January 26-30 we’re supporting the Make Polluters Pay Week of Action — to demand justice, accountability, and climate reparations from the corporations most responsible for this crisis. Your voice, participation, and action can help shift the cost of climate destruction and fossil fuel extraction off of communities — and onto the polluters who caused it.

Just over one year ago, devastating wildfires tore through Los Angeles. It wasn’t a disaster, it was a crime. The official damage estimate is $250 billion in property, but there’s no repaying the lives lost and futures stolen. Rebuilding has barely begun. Meanwhile, regular working Americans in California and others are facing skyrocketing homeowners insurance and utility bills.

Fossil fueled fascists are driving climate chaos, and climate chaos is driving war for oil and natural resources. It’s that simple. While Trump talks about using public money to support oil projects in Venezuela, his administration is also working to shut down climate lawsuits and state climate superfund laws here at home.

We owe it to the communities already hit by climate chaos — and the ones next in line — to demand better. To demand accountability. To demand protection before the next firestorm hits. Join us in action this month by signing our petition and joining the week of action. We’ll see you in the streets to make polluters pay.
