August 15 Update – Former President, and current leader of the fossil fuel fascist party, Donald Trump was indicted along with 18 co-conspirators in Fulton County Georgia. This is a state-level case focussed on the coordinated racketeering to change the outcome of the 2020 election in that one state.
It’s also the fourth indictment to date against Trump, and another clear reason why Trump must be barred from federal office under the 14th amendment.

August 1 – Former President, and current leader of the fossil fuel fascist party, Donald Trump was indicted Tuesday on charges he led a conspiracy to overthrow the 2020 election results — which directly led to the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. 2021.
This is the latest, and most serious charge to date against Trump, and the clearest indictment yet that makes clear why Trump must be barred from federal office under the 14th amendment. Trump, as usual, is responding with more lies and propaganda. He’s also using this indictment to raise money for his Presidential campaign, which in turn is spending most of its cash paying Trump’s legal team.
July 29 – The former President, and current leader of the fossil fuel fascist party, Donald Trump, is facing major new charges. On Thursday, the special counsel, Jack Smith, accused the former president of seeking to delete security camera footage at Mar-a-Lago. And he named a new defendant (with the potential to flip on Trump and testify against him), Carlos De Oliveira the Mar-a-lago property manager.
Obviously, this is only the latest development in the ongoing legal saga facing the corrupt, disgraced, and defeated, former President Trump. But it’s also a clear sign that Trump is not going to stand down, and that neither the special counsel nor any of the other lawyers who have brought serious criminal charges against Trump are likely to stop him from winning the Republican nomination.
The only safe way for our climate and our democracy to survive Trump’s ongoing illegal activity, is to disqualify him from the ballot under the 14th amendment to the constitution – which was written specifically for fascists like Trump who seek office after trying to violently overthrow the government. The insurrection on January 6, 2021, incited by former President Donald Trump, directly attacked our democratic institutions. His actions on that day and his continued propagation of the “Big Lie” around the 2020 election results pose a significant threat to the integrity of our democratic processes.
The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution provides a clear path to protect our democracy from those who would undermine it. Section 3 of the Amendment states that any person who has taken an oath to support the Constitution, but has subsequently engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States, is disqualified from holding office.
Donald Trump, as a former president, has taken such an oath. His actions leading up to and on January 6 incited an insurrection. Nine different federal judges have blamed Trump for the events of January 6.
The 14th Amendment has disqualified individuals from holding public office before. Couy Griffin was removed from his position as an elected county commissioner in New Mexico for his role in the January 6 attack.
We believe that the same standard should apply to Donald Trump. His treasonous actions have demonstrated a clear disregard for the Constitution and the democratic principles that it upholds.
