Years of resistance have led up to this moment: Join us and get excited for the Treaty People Gathering: Rise, Protect, #StopLine3!
As Enbridge builds the Line 3 tar sands oil pipeline through Anishinaabe treaty land and the Mississippi Headwaters, now is a critical moment to support the movement to defend Indigenous sovereignty, water, and our climate. The Treaty People Gathering is a national call to action, inviting allies to come to northern Minnesota. This mobilization is led by Honor the Earth, RISE Coalition, Giniw Collective, MN350, Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light, and many more.
We are calling all water protectors, land defenders, climate activists and warrior-hearts to the frontlines! Will you join us? RSVP here to join our national call with frontline leaders on Tuesday, May 18 at 7pm ET / 6pm CT / 5pm MT / 4pm PT.
From June 5-8, hundreds will gather in northern Minnesota for a series of nonviolent direct actions to make a clear statement to era of tar sands pipelines and fossil fuels is over. For months we’ve called on President Biden, and other decision makers at the local, state and federal level to act. A week ago we rallied at banks and financial institutions to demand they #DefundLine3.
Only a major uprising will force this pipeline to the top of the nation’s consciousness and compel President Joe Biden to revoke the Trump-issued permits and stop Line 3.
Join the call Next Tuesday, and you’ll hear from pipeline fighters on the frontlines including Tara Houska, founder of the Giniw Collective; Dawn Goodwin, co-founder of RISE coalition; Winona LaDuke executive director of Honor the Earth, and Taysha Martineau, founder of Camp Migizi.
