Stop Trump’s DOE climate denial report, before it becomes law.

We told you earlier this month about the fossil fueled fascist Trump regime’s plan to make climate denial the law by repealing the EPA’s Endangerment Finding. As part of that evil scheme, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) released a bogus report that relies on a handful of climate cranks to argue that climate change “appears to be less damaging economically than commonly believed.”

Dozens of scientists have complained that the report misrepresents their research, telling reporters “This is a serious misuse of my research.” And “This is not how science is supposed to work.” Michael Mann, a leading voice on climate change and director of the University of Pennsylvania’s climate program went so far as to say “There is nothing scientific about this report whatsoever.” And a recent report in Carbon Brief found that report includes more than 100 false or misleading claims.

Clearly this isn’t about science. This is a piece of propaganda intended to make the regime’s policy of climate denial into law. The DOE is only accepting comments from scientists, and the public, until September 2 – hoping that most people will be on vacation and not paying attention while they lie and pervert the laws of science and climate action.

Don’t let them lie in the dark: Click here to send a comment with our allies Climate Hawks Vote to call BS on the DOE’s climate denial report.

Let’s back up a step and explain how we got here: This is the scientific and legal foundation that says climate change is real, caused by the burning of fossil fuels, and that global warming pollution endangers public health and welfare as defined under the Clean Air Act. The Endangerment Finding has been the cornerstone of all U.S. climate policy since 2009, when Barack Obama first used it to enact rules limiting pollution from power plants, cars, and eventually to sign the Paris climate agreement. It has survived legal challenges and has near-universal scientific support.

The DOE report claims that global warming is good for you, actually! Because “the growing amount of CO2 in the atmosphere directly influences the earth system by promoting plant growth (global greening), thereby enhancing agricultural yields, and by neutralizing [ocean acidification].”

This is obviously false, and flies in the face of every peer reviewed scientific report on climate change from the last 10 years — whether from the United Nations, the European Union, or the federal government’s own most recent National Climate Assessment, which was released less than two years ago (and subsequently deleted by Trump)

All through the first Trump administration, we fought and defeated climate denying cabinet members like Scott Pruit, Ryan Zinke, and others because they were corrupt and using the powers of their office to harm Americans. This report, and the repeal of the endangerment finding it supports, are intended to prevent any Trump Regime official from being blocked, impeached, or removed — even if they lie about climate change, and especially if climate change kills Americans.

Don’t wait until it’s too late and Trump’s climate denial becomes law — click here to submit a comment NOW and get on the record opposing this DOE report that claims climate change is good.

Trump is dragging us along into a crime against humanity & the fauna. Unless a handful of Republican senators and congressmen/women can break away, Trump has roughly 40 months to finish the job. Even if the Dems prevail in ’26. he’s still got 16 months to lay all the mines..
